Davis Vantage VueThe weather station is a 5-sensor Davis Vantage Vue connected to an Ubuntu Linux server running WeeWx software. The weather data is transmitted to APRS-IS for use by NOAA’s MADIS system as part of the Citizens Weather Observer Program. The data is also sent to Weather Underground and PWS Weather. The station transmits over the local APRS amateur radio network on 144.39 MHz using a Kenwood TH-D7A(G) connected to a 3 element yagi pointed due south.

Three Foscam cameras monitor the sky to the Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest of the station’s location.
